It's All About Green!

Welcome to week two of our "Summer of Color". This week is all about green. Green is my favorite color. Check with our hostess "Twinkle Twinkle" to see all the green artwork from the talented artists participating.

This is my piece for green. The idea comes from Shona Cole's book "The Artistic Mother". I had done one earlier for my grandson Dylan. The Summer of Color is giving me the push to do one for each grandchild.

This is a work in progress. I started with a black and white photo taken with a Lomo Camera. I have already started coloring it with oils, oil pencils, oil pastels, and crayons. It still needs detail work but I'm not sure what to use.  It's coming along but so far so good.
Next week on to PINK.

  1. Love both your pieces. Your little Cora is adorable. I like the colors you are getting on your photo. I love using non smear chalks on my photos. I posted a pic of them in my green post this week. You can erase them for a while then they set. :) Nan
